Facts
Start the Tax Planner and open the plan you saved for A Couple, Basic and Average (A Couple.pl5). Open the Header/Footer Setup and add a new header for this plan. Use the following text and keywords for a centered header:

After you have created and viewed your header, delete it.
Program Considerations
The Header/Footer Setup is used to customize the header in your report. You can insert any combination of page number, dates, times, and/or keywords. You can insert them on the left, right, or centered at the top of the report. The following table explains the button functions in the Header/Footer Setup:

The setup for footers is the same as it is for headers.
How?
To create a header:
- Start the 2005 Tax Planner program and open the sample plan (A Couple.pl5).
- Click Header/Footer Setup on the Reports menu.
- At the Header tab, click New.
- Click in the center box and type the text from the Facts section above.
- Click the Keyword button.
- Select Full Client Name from the Client Data category.
- Click OK.
Note that the keyword is replaced in the preview window with the client's name.
To delete a header:
- Select the header in the Current Header list.
- Click Delete.
Tips & Shortcuts
You can check the Save as default header and footer for new plans box to use your selected header and footer for any other plans you create.
Review
You should have been able to create a custom header for the sample plan.
Troubleshooting
Problem: How do I change the name of my header after I create it?
Solution: There is no need to name these items. The program displays the first few words of the header in the Current Header list for easy identification.
