Communication Manager
General Information
The Lacerte Communication Manager is used for communicating with Lacerte by modem or via the Internet. All Remote Entry Processing (REP), Electronic Filing, Lacerte E-Mail, and Tech Support Alerts transmissions are sent through the Communication Manager. The Communication Manager contains a section for each of the electronic functions that allows you to view what will occur when you connect to Lacerte.
When you e-file through Lacerte, you create an e-file and transmit it to Lacerte via the Communication Manager. Exercises related to e-filing can be found in the E-Filing tutorial.
Tech Support Alerts contain up-to-date information about problems, common questions, and suggestions about operating Lacerte software programs. Tech Support Alerts exercises can be found in the Support section of the Program Operations tutorial.
Lacerte E-Mail allows you to communicate electronically with the Lacerte Customer Support departments via a modem or Internet connection. Exercises for the Lacerte E-Mail feature can also be found in the Support section of the Program Operations tutorial.
