"First was the ease of set up for the database. The program found my Lacerte database and populated itself with all of the clients. Then the printing of the prior year (2003) returns was a snap. The standard template for the file structure was easy to understand and implement. Any changes which I felt I wanted in the template were easy to make. The file structure was similar to my own file structure. Accessing the information is great. All of the workstations on our system have the DMS program and now information can be accessed in half of the time. We now have 2 years of returns and supporting documents in the system. "Lacerte DMS is very simple in its design and is a practical solution for the small firm or sole practitioner. The strongest integration is with Lacerte Tax and Intuit's ProSeries tax software. The client list from Lacerte is directly imported to Lacerte DMS. The integration between the tax software's printing engine and Lacerte DMS is well designed and easy to use."
